Gatherings was a band with members mostly from southern New Jersey who grew up playing music together under one loosely formed band or another since before they even knew the true pain of life. It was sometime in 2012 when the friends were in their early 20's, scattered and lost, that guitarist John Heenan presented them with a handful of new songs he had written while in college and an imperative to "take it seriously this time." Easier said than done! But the friends were inspired, and went on to play as Gatherings for several exciting, fumbling, heartbreaking, and life affirming years.

Here you will find just about everything we did, from our very first multi track recordings from Dan Cohn's bedroom, to blown-out, balls to the wall cellphone recordings of practice sessions, to intimate acoustic first takes, to unfinished recordings from our never realized debut full-length.
